Dr. Jeff Smeaton

Dr. Jeff Smeaton is a graduate of Wilfrid Laurier University and Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College in Toronto. After graduating, he gained additional certifications in Graston Technique, Active Release Technique, Medical Acupuncture and is certified in other functional assessment techniques. He is a Golf Medical Professional (Titleist Performance Institute) and Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS).

He has experience working with professional golfers, NCAA players and competitive juniors. He also has a lot of experience helping recreational golfers become injury free and feel better while they play. Jeff will help you become and stay injury free by creating an individualized treatment or training plan tailored to your specific needs that will progress with you as your needs evolve. Through treatment, exercise, and education, he will take you from becoming pain free and progress you to performing better. Jeff has been involved in many sports throughout his life. He played football at Laurier for 5 years and finished his CIS career with the 2005 Vanier Cup Championship. He now enjoys keeping active golfing and spending time with his wife and two daughters.

John Burghardt

John is the instructor for Nate’s U-7, U-9, and U-13 development programs. Having been a member of junior programs growing up, he recognizes the importance of instruction and structured practice. He attributes much of his own success in golf to the years in these programs and the skills he developed from them. John also provides private instruction to golfers of all ages and skill levels at Hidden Lake Golf Club.

As a former NCAA division 1 golfer he has had the opportunity to play with and learn from some of the best players in the world. He draws on his playing experience in order to help others improve and excel.

Tim O’Connor

With two decades of experience in men’s facilitation through the ManKind Project, Tim O’Connor has leveraged extensive psychology and mindfulness research to earn recognition as a performance and life coach, with a specialization in club golf professionals. Over an eight-year span, Tim has assumed a central role as the co-host of the Swing Thoughts podcast and has been instrumental in delivering impactful workshops. Additionally, Tim conducts Quiet Mind Golf putting clinics in collaboration with PGA of Canada professional Nate Robinson.

In the 90s, Tim embarked on global journeys as a golf writer, covering prestigious championships such as the Masters, U.S. Open, and PGA Championship. His interviews with top players and coaches garnered prominence across esteemed outlets including CBC Radio, The Financial Post, and renowned golf publications.
